Privacy policy

Your privacy actually matters to us. Here's exactly what data we handle, how, and why.

1. Quick summary

  • We don't store the videos you download. They stream in real time from the source platform to your device.
  • We don't store the links you paste. They never hit persistent logs.
  • No signup required, so we don't have your email, name or password.
  • We don't sell data. Period.

2. What data we process

IP address

We receive your IP when you make a request, like any website. We use it only to enforce rate limits (anti-abuse) and it lives only in memory for the request duration. We don't persist it in any permanent log.

User-Agent and basic headers

We receive your browser's User-Agent. We use it to identify generic technical issues. We don't associate it with you individually.

Cookies

TikSavr doesn't use first-party cookies for tracking. If you see ads, our ad providers (e.g. Adsterra) may use first-party cookies under their own policies, which are outside our control.

3. Ad blocker detection

We load a "bait" script in the client to detect if you have a blocker. This detection happens 100% in your browser — nothing is sent to the server. If we detect a blocker, we show a message asking you to disable it and apply a short cooldown between downloads.

4. Analytics

We use Plausible Analytics, a privacy-friendly alternative to Google Analytics. Plausible doesn't use cookies, doesn't track individuals, and doesn't build profiles. It only gives us aggregate metrics (visit count, top pages, countries). More at plausible.io/privacy.

5. Advertising

We show ads to keep the service free. Our ad providers may use their own mechanisms (cookies, fingerprinting) under their own policies. We don't have access to that data. If you're concerned, use an ad blocker (but you'll hit the cooldown message).

6. Sharing with third parties

We don't share personal information with third parties. The only third-party communications are:

  • The source platform of the video (TikTok, YouTube, Instagram, Facebook), which we ask for the video you selected.
  • Our infrastructure providers (hosting, CDN) who receive technical data to serve the site.
  • Ad providers (if active).

7. Your rights

Under GDPR (Europe) and similar laws elsewhere, you have the right to access, rectify and delete your personal data. Since we don't store personal data tied to users, there's no personal data to delete. If you have questions or specific requests, reach out.

8. Minors

TikSavr is not directed to children under 13. We don't knowingly collect data from minors. If you're a parent/guardian and believe a minor under your care provided us data, contact us to delete it.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. Material changes will be announced on the site. We recommend reviewing it periodically.
